Black Belts accumulate points for TOP TEN ranking by placing 1st, 2nd, or 3rd in Forms and Sparring Competition.

Points are tallied and are not specific to Forms or Sparring. In other words, to be in the TOP TEN, competitors must be well rounded Martial Artists!

The TOP TEN Divisions are:

Junior Black Belts (12 and Below)

Boys and Girls are Combined

1st Degree Teen Boys

2nd Degree Teen Boys

Black Belt Teen Girls

If there are enough competitors to divide the division into 1st and 2nd Degree it will be divided.

Black Belt Men

If there are enough competitors to divide the division into 1st Degree and 2nd Degree & Above it will be divided.

Black Belt Women

 If there are enough competitors to divide the division into Women and VIP Women, or 1st and 2nd Degree Black Belt it will be divided.

VIP Black Belt Men

 Teen and Adult Weapons 

Green Belts and Above may compete in this Division

Teen & Adult Breaking

Brown Belts and Above may compete in this Division

Competitors that change Age or Belt Levels during the Tournament year and based on that change, would move into another Division have two options:

1. Move to the next Division with your points at 1/2 value

2. Compete in the same Division with the lower Ranks or younger competitors.

 Either choice is permanent, competitors can't go back and forth.

All Ranked competitors should be receiving their Top Ten Certificate  in about a week or so from your Instructor.

In addition, each State Champion can choose from three different items;

The Traditional STATE CHAMP Uniform

All White uniform with 08 State Champ embroidered above the UTA Logo and your name below the logo

 Embroidered Black Belt

Your Name on the right side and 2008 State Champion Embroidered on the other side
